SMK Munshi Abdullah Chess Open '09

On July 11th 2009, my school's Chess Club had organized a chess tournament among the schools of Malacca.
I'm one of the participant and the 'helper'(bought the needed stuff for the competition)XD


Here goes...
On the day of the competition, I woke up at 'bout 6.59a.m. Mom was very anxious about she's gonna late for her dunno what meeting in her school at Selandar(I think was a meeting). So, we set off at 7.05a.m. so that mom wouldn't be late. After dropping her off at mom's colleague's house, dad sent me to my school.

Oh, before the day of the competition,on Friday that was, I'd received two messages from my friends. One was my classmate and friend, Mingshu, the other one was Mei Yen. Both of them wished me good luck during that competition and try my best. Was quite surprised when they wished me good luck^^
Thanks to you guys, I got the 'semangat' to beat the other participants. Muahahaha!!

Continue to my story, once i reached school, i walked straight away to the astaka(is the place where my school's having assembly every tuesday)to look for my friends who were all arbiters on that day. They were really there as no one wanna go up to the library. By the way, the competition was held in my school's library located on the 1st floor of Block E of the school. After I'd approached to my friends, the organizer of this competition, Aaron, had also arrived, he asked us to go up to arrange all the chess sets and prepare for the competition. We go up to the library as told. Luckily, the sets were all laying there lazily as if waiting for us to move them.So, after doing some preparation, most of the other participants had arrived. And after the pairing had came out, began the competition!
Oh, I forgot another thing: this competition was played in groups, each group had 4 persons. So, Munshi girls' team had 2 teams altogether, a strong one and a not-so-strong team(no offense!) About the boys' team, there were a number of them but I'm not sure the exact number.

In the first round, Munshi's girl team no.1 against GB's girl team no.2. I don't had an opponent so in the first round I'd won automatically. Haha!

In second round, Munshi's girl team no.1 against GB's girl team no.1. This time was not good luck, my opponent was my friend who was very good in chess. We met before in MSS Chess Competition, that's why I was afraid. Still loss...

As for the third round, Munshi's girl team no.1 against Munshi's girl team no.2. It's quite strange why same school 'fought' with each other. This was because there were only four groups of girls in this competition, it's not enough to play six rounds so they'd decided we must play six rounds, in the end, we played among our friends.I won in this round^^

Next, Munshi's girl team no.1 against GB's girl team no.2 again but opponents changed. Still won in this round. Gosh, I'm goodXD

Then, in the fifth round, Munshi's girl team no.1 against Munshi's girl team no.2 again with another opponent. She's my friend, Ying Dieh's younger sister, Ying Ting. I won too!

Now, in the final round. Munshi's girl team no.1 against GB's girl team no.1, again, with opponent changed. I was against my GB friend's younger sister. This was a tough one too, I loss in this round:(

Bla bla bla....
After the competition was over,my team got the second place while the first place went to GB's girl team no.1. Munshi's girl team no.2 got the third place.
Then we cleaned up and took lots of photos! Was havin' fun with friends on that day!
